The Bhale Sultan are a Rajput clan found in District Sultanpur in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India.[1]

The Bhale Sultan get their name from the Sanskrit bhala or javelin and the Arabic word sultan or ruler. Their name therefore means the ruler’s javelin or spear, and this name is said to have been bestowed upon them by the Mohammed Ghori. There are two traditions as to the origin of the clan. The Bulandshahr Bhale Sultan claim to have originally been Solanki, and are said to have come from Gujarat. While those of Awadh claim to have originally been Tilokchandi Bais.The Present State of Bhalesultan is TIRHUT District- Sultanpur UP.where then Bhalesultan Raja settled. Bhalesultans opposed Britishers in the revolt of 1857 and a battle was fought at Kadu Ka Naala near Musafirkhana in district Sultanpur of UP.
Marichi was the son of Brahma. Marichi had two sons whoose names were Kashyap & Atri. The name of Kashyapa's son was Surya. Twelve sons were born from the womb of Badwa, the wife of Surya. Among twelve sons, the name of seventh son was Vaivasvat Manu. In India, VaivasvatManu established his region at Ayodhya. He established the Surya dynasty in the name of his father, Surya. King Kusha in the dynasty of Surya, the second son of Lord Rama, built his capital at Kushwati and Kushpura. The Kachwaha pedigree was originated from this dynasty and in due course of time, it was called the Shakya dynasty, Pradyot dynasty, Takshak dynasty and afterwards Naga dynasty. Kulkarni, the great conqurer was born in the Baishas of the Naga dynasty of Thaneswar,who annexed at Sindh and Punjab and having overcome the state of Mungipatan in Gujrat, made his capital. His son King Shaliwahana was born who is considered the root man of the present Bais Kshatriyas. In the Fifty-Second generation of King Shalivahna, the elder son of King Tilokchand-II ( 1333 A.D. - 1406 A.D., Ambe Ray (Bidar Deva) 1360-1410 A.D. was born. His brave son Ray Bidar (1394-1478 A.D.) pierced his sper in 1412 A.D.. In the fort of Nasir-ud-Din Mahmood Tughlaque, the Sultan of Delhi. He was awarded the title of the BhaleSultan by the sultan of Delhi at this unsuppressible patience and chivalry. He, at the capital of King Kusha, Kushpur, which is presently known as Sultanpur; defetaed the Bhars, who were residing on the both banks of river Gomti at Tehsil Mushafir Khana with the circle 42 K.M. and founded his region and made Gajangadhi ( present Gajanpur) his ruling capital.
Since then, the decendents of the Bidar Dev were called Bhale Sultan. That is the branch of King Tilokchand eldest son. there were four sons of Ray Bidar- Ray Kunwar, Ray Dadhichi, Brahmdeva, and Ambrish Shah.
The branch of Ray Kunwar is residing at Nara-Adhanpur, Naugire, Kochit,Kotwa,Pipari, Kankarkola,Nevada,Gaura-Parana,Mahuli,Baramau and Dehriyanwa villages of Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh.
The branch of Ray Dadhichi is residing at Kadu-Newada, Bhaidpur,Mawai.Pure Jadoray, Saraiya-SabalShah, Duwariya,Shadipur,Gajanpur,Chatari,Umra,Tirhut,Rampur,Kanpa,Kotwa,Badadan, Kuwasi,Haliyapur, Jarai,Fatetepur,Khadauli,Uskamau,Shayabaggha,Bhakhari and Kankarha villages of Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh.
The branch of Brahmadev is residing at Thauri,Dichauli,Alinagar,Mahona,Devgaon etc in about 256 villages. The branch of Ambrish Shah is residing at Dadra, Gunnair, Jamuare, Palia, Pindara in District Sultanpur and Rudauli, Bhikhipur,Pure PrithviSingh villages of District Faizabad.
The circle of 42 kms of Bhale Sultan Rajpoots is famous as "BHALESULTANI". In the present time, the states of Mahona and Devgaon have converted their religion and adopted the Islam.
King Mandhata was born in the Nienth generation of King Ray Dadhichi and in his Eighth Generation, King Badri Pratap Singh was born; whose castle is situated at Tirhut in Distt. Sultanpur of U.P.. In the present, The Heir of late King Badri Pratap singh is Om Prakash Singh, who is now residing in the related castle at Tirhut P.S.-Haliyapur, Tehsil-Musfirkhana,Distt.-Sultanpur, U.P.. He has three son namely Ray Bhanu Pratap Singh, Ray Rana Pratap Singh, Ray Vikram Pratap Singh.
